Cub centelebration camp at Bonaly
Our Cub Scouts have been invited to an adventure activity weekend camp under canvas from 13- 15 May 2016 to celebrate 100 years of Cub Scouting at Bonaly Outdoor Centre.
This involves a weekend camp from Friday through to Sunday. The camp is being run for all Cub Scouts from within the district.
Cub Scouting is 100 years old this year and this is a special camp which will be one of the highlights in a series of exciting events in 2016.
We are also looking for volunteers to help out around the camp, so if your Cub is going and you’d like to help out these are the times we’ll need some help:
- Thursday evening 12th May – We will be setting up the sub camp so there is lots of kit to move around and we need to ensure we all get set up as quickly as possible.
- Saturday and Sunday breakfast – 7-8:45am.
- Saturday and Sunday lunch 12-2, lunch served at 1pm.
- Saturday tea – 5-7pm, tea served at 6pm
- This would mainly involve helping get the food prepared and assisting to get it distributed to all the Cubs in our sub camp.
We could use some help at break times as well. (11am Sat/Sun and 3:30pm Sat only), again ensuring the Cubs stay fed and watered between activities.
If any of these times suit and you would be able to lend a hand please let one of the leaders know and it will probably be quite good fun too.
